Shot Cocktails

Yes, there's more! On another page just a click away (here in fact) you can learn to make the likes of..

Baby Guinness!
B-52!
Kamikazes!
Black Jacks!
One about fellatio performing cowboys?!
and many more!

Hurrah!!

Alabama Slammer - A Whiskey based cocktail containing Southern Comfort, Amaretto, Sloe Gin and Orange Juice. Sweet but relatively smooth.

Appletini - Simply an apple cocktail, vodka, apple schnapps (or apple juice) and cointreau. T.v show favorite and Facebook's "official drink"

Baileys Coffee - Something to warm you up during the big freeze, Baileys perfectly replaces cream/milk in your cup of coffee

Baileys Grasshopper - Minty, creamy and easy, this is a twist on a classic Grasshopper.

Baileys Heaven - Always reminds me of milkshake, with chocolate topping, and coffee, cream, and vanilla liqueurs. Another cream cocktail.

Black Russian - Classic cocktail giving vodka a coffee bang, can be made to different specifications (with some different names), some are listed here..

Blue Hawaii - Very sweet, with quite a tropical punch, this combines rum, blue curacao, pineapple juice and S&S Mix

Blue Lagoon - Cool refreshing mix of vodka, blue curacao and lemonade

Bubblegum - An odd cocktail, combining rum, blackcurrant vodka, cider (the only two ingredients that seem to make sense), creme de Banana, and Orange Juice. Surprisingly lovely.

Cape Masquerade - Something like.. a Cosmo with rum and a Sex on the Beach with the orange coming from somewhere else.

Chimayó - Tequila makes little of a dent in this cocktail, a good thing as the flavor is versatile and nice, with apple cider, creme de cassis and lime juice all vying for attention.

Cosmopolitan - Pop culture favorite with vodka, cointreau, cranberry and lime juice. Sweet, just enough orange to balance the cranberry, with just enough lime to balance the happy couple.

Dark 'N' Stormy - A dark rum wonder, part of the easier cocktails page, apparently the national drink of Bermuda!

Daiquiri - Extended family of Cuban cocktails, popular today as the blended fruit cocktails. Nicest in strawberry, banana and peach form (IMO)

Funky Monkey - Another confused set of flavors, but nice, using banana and melon liqueurs, vodka, peach schnapps and orange juice. Confusing, but delicious

Ginger in the Rye - If the name hasn't given it away, then check it out already! Don't forget the very important garnish!

Gin Rickey - Old classic suffering recent revival, simply gin, lime juice and sparking water

H G&T - Heard of Hendricks Gin? No? Dive in...

Hurricane - Useful if you want to get rid of unwanted rums, as it's creator may have told you, where in gods name he got passionfruit syrup from in the 30's I do not know.

Irish Coffee - Where the Baileys Coffee eases in the warmth, the Irish coffee simply devours the cold. Use good whiskey, nice coffee, and if you've no place left to go (and it's still snowing) I'd use Baileys instead of cream.

June Bug Annihilator - One of my favorite tasting fruity concoctions. Its Pineapple Juice, Banana Liqueur, Melon Liqueur and Malibu work well together, and are very easy to drink.

Link Up - The only cocktail asked for in space I understand. A nightmare order, unless your Joe Gilmore, who came prepared by inventing the concoction. Simple with Southern Comfort, vodka and a bit of lime.

Long Island Iced Tea - An unholy favorite of anyone willing or wanting to get smashed. Incorporating 4 base spirits, a liqueur, citrus fruit juice and coke, I personally don't find it to be anything like an Iced Tea, how could it be? Iced Tea doesn't have Vodka, Rum, Gin, Tequila, Cointreau etc in it!

Lynchburg Lemonade - Simple mix of Jack Daniels, Cointreau and lemonade, nice in the right balance.

Mai Tai - Almond nuttiness, pineapple juice and more. A Mai Tai is one of the tastiest drinks I've ever had.

Margarita - The classic salt rimmed Mexican. Tequila, Cointreau(features a lot here apparently) with fresh lemon (or lime) juice and ice. Potent, won't cure that carpet mouthedness, and will lay you down on said carpet before many.

Martini - Don't even dream of mentioning Bond. Vodka or Gin, or both, and Vermouth. Shake it or stir it, do whatever you like with the damn thing.

Matador - A reasonable Tequila drink, for once. As in it won't knock you out at 10 paces. Tequila, Pineapple, and Lime. Sweet and simple.

Nuclear Iced Tea - A variant of the Long Island featuring melon liqueur and lemonade in the place of two long island components, read more to find out which!

Peaches the Sun - A personal twist on a Tequila Sunrise, popular with the customers I serve it to, it includes peach schnapps amongst other different ingredients.

Pegu - The Pegu Club drink, a classic, so obviously it's got gin lurking about in there.

Pina Colada - Creamy and Fruity at the same time, stomaching that thought is half the battle.

Pink Elephant - A stripped down Singapore Sling, gin again, cherry features largely into the flavor.

Pink Panther - The most shocking cocktail I've ever had. Shocking why though... Before you look, think about things you would NOT mix Tequila with

Rainforest - Another vessel of fruitiness and barmy color schemes. A bit too easy to drink, with Malibu, blue curacao, and orange juice.

Romeo and Juliet - Often mistaken in appearance for a Sex on the Beach is this version. Southern Comfort and Strawberry Liqueur are two of the more prominent components.

Rusty Nail - Only whiskey cocktails have names that might put you off trying them. this is incredibly sweet for a whiskey only cocktail. No literally, theres a whiskey (scotch to be precise), and a whiskey based liqueur, with ice. That's it.

Sapphire So Good - Bombay Sapphire Gin makes this cocktail special, the other ingredients are mixed commonly and without uproar, but this particular gin adds a certain something to the tone of the flavor.

Screaming Orgasm - Cocktails with questionable names galore, vodka, baileys, kahlua and half and half make a wonderful combination. I sometimes add Amaretto, for the hell of it.

Sex on the Beach - Ye olde favorite. If you don't know this, then you haven't seen a cocktail since 1930-something, if you've seen any at all.

Singapore Sling - Rivals the Mai Tai and the June Bug to be my favorite tasting cocktail, the simpler version is the Pink Elephant.

Super Split - While the world boasts about their captain 'n' coke, have something better to brag about. Spiced rum aaaand....

Tequila Sunrise - Mexicos (joint) best known cocktail. Easily identifiable to the taste and sight- with it's sunrise effect..

Tom's Chocolate Orange - NEW COCKTAIL, you my have guessed it, it's a creamy chocolaty, orangy (slightly nutty) concoction as made by yours truly!

West Indy Yellowbird - Spiced Rum, Galliano, creme de banana, orange and pineapple juice combine for a great party.

Whiskey Mac - Another Easier Cocktail, it uses (you guessed it!) whiskey, and Ginger Wine, to build a cold hating Winter buster!

Whiskey What?? - Whiskey, ginger ale, pineapple juice and lime juice. Sounds wrong. Isn't.

White Russian - Variation of the Black Russian including Half and Half.

Woo Woo - The Sex on the Beaches better cousin, take a sex on the beach, remove the orange juice and add the lime juice. A Woo Woo!!!

.,how many ml or jigger does 1 part?,.

tom_caton 3 months ago

Depends how much you're making at the time.

Say your making one Tom Collins' worth of cocktail, that would usually entail 20-35ml of the base spirit, half that (or less) for the secondary spirit(s), plus the mixer.

The point is when I say "Part"- it is only used as an indicator of how the cocktail is balanced from spirit to mix.

Hope this helps but if you have any more questions, perhaps regarding a specific cocktail, I'd be happy to help.
